About
An audio visual contractor built around the handover
Audio Visual Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian registered company delivering commercial AV across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Who we are
The AV layer, treated as a trade in its own right
On most fitouts the audio visual scope sits awkwardly between the electrical contractor, the IT department and the furniture supplier. Cables get run to the wrong wall, the display lands at the wrong height, and nobody owns the moment the room has to actually work.
We exist to own that scope end to end. Audio Visual Australia Pty Ltd takes responsibility for the design, the equipment, the cabling schedule, the rack build, the programming and the commissioning, then stays on as the party you call when a room misbehaves.
The work is deliberately unglamorous: correct gain structure, sensible display heights, labelled terminations, control screens that a visitor can use without a briefing. Rooms built this way are quiet, and quiet rooms are the point.
- Site survey, sightline and acoustic assessment
- System design, schematics and equipment schedules
- Containment, cable schedules and first fix coordination
- Rack build, termination and labelling
- Control programming and user interface layout
- Commissioning, tuning and calibration
- Handover training and as-built documentation
- Ongoing service, faults and system changes
Our process
Five stages, in this order, every time
The sequence matters. Each stage produces something the next one needs, which is why we do not start pulling cable before the drawings are signed off.
-
01
Survey
We measure the room, check sightlines and seated eye heights, look at the ceiling and wall build-up, note the existing power and data, and ask how the space is genuinely used rather than how it was drawn.
-
02
Design
You get a system schematic, a signal-flow drawing, an equipment schedule and a cable schedule. Anything that needs to be agreed with your IT team — addressing, bandwidth, VLANs, remote access — is agreed at this stage, not on site.
-
03
Install
Containment and first fix coordinated with the other trades, brackets and mounts set out to the drawing, racks built and loomed off site where the programme allows, then landed and terminated.
-
04
Commission
Gain structure set, DSP tuned to the room, displays and projectors calibrated, microphone coverage tested, control interface walked through scenario by scenario until the room behaves the way the brief described.
-
05
Support
Handover training for the people who use the room and the people who maintain it, as-built drawings and configuration files issued, then a service arrangement sized to how critical the space is.
Working with us
What clients get in writing
Documentation, not folklore
As-built drawings, rack elevations, control configurations and equipment lists are issued at handover, so the system is not dependent on remembering who installed it.
Rooms that behave alike
Where you have several sites or floors, we standardise room types so a user who can drive one meeting room can drive all of them, and spares cover the whole portfolio.
Australian registered and accountable
Contracting is with Audio Visual Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 99 701 429 414, ACN 701 429 414, a company registered in Australia and operating from Victoria.
